What is the
Iliad program?

The Iliad Program is a free strength program spread over 8 to 10 weeks, which I decided to create to give a little glimpse of the programs I put together for my students who compete in powerlifting. The goal? New 1RMs on the 3 lifts by the end of the program.

This program comes as a customizable Excel document, which you'll need to set up by entering plenty of information. It comes with a PDF explaining how to set up and follow the program.

The program introduces the concept of autoregulation: since the Iliad program is aimed at more advanced athletes than the Odyssey program, it assumes you know how to manage yourself. The program therefore introduces RPE, which lets you adapt your training loads to how you feel on the day.

Who can follow this program?

This program can be followed by powerlifting athletes at an intermediate or advanced level. Indeed, you need to already have some strength experience.

This program aims at a 1RM test on the three lifts through a "peaking" program. Unlike the Odyssey Program, this program isn't meant to be repeated several times in a row. This program is ideal as part of preparation for a strength competition, for example.

The PDF gives you all the guidance you need to carry out the program in the best possible way. You'll have all the directions and instructions to follow, the technical explanations on the possible variations to choose across the 3 lifts, how the program unfolds, what to do after finishing the program... It is imperative to read it in full before starting!

The Iliad Program comes as a customizable and evolving Excel file. Block 1 will be automatically adapted according to the data you enter. Depending on how the first 4 weeks go, Block 2 will be calculated and modified, so as to be even more personalized to your needs.
